Job summary

K&G Fashion Superstore is seeking an Assistant Buyer for Ladies Sportswear & Activewear. This role supports the Buyer with merchandise planning, data analysis, and vendor negotiations to drive profitable assortments. The position requires strong math, analytical, and communication skills and may involve some travel.

Hours are full-time with a 40-hour work week, based in the Dublin California office. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience with K&G’s current team and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Strong math skills, good judgment, and ability to learn new skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and data entry.
• Strong analytical, financial and strategic planning skills.
• Good communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Some travel required.
• Must have been with K&G for at least 6 months and in good standing in current position.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to the Buyer.
• Analyze financial data.
• Develop merchandise assortments.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
• Organize and maintain department filing, shipping, order maintenance, and store receipts.
• Analyze and resolve order discrepancy issues.
• Conduct gross margin and vendor profitability analysis.
• Provide merchandise direction, including key item presentations and flow of goods to stores.
