Job summary

K&G Fashion Superstore is seeking an Assistant Buyer for Ladies Sportswear & Activewear in Atlanta. You will provide operational support, analyze financial data, and help develop merchandise assortments while negotiating with vendors to optimize margins.

Strong Excel, data entry, and communication skills are essential. Responsibilities include organizing department files, overseeing order accuracy, and guiding the flow of goods to stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education.
• Must possess strong math skills, good judgment, and the ability to learn new skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and data entry.
• Must have strong analytical, financial and strategic planning skills.
• Must possess good communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Must be flexible and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Some travel required.
• Must have been with K&G for at least 6 months and be in good standing in your current position.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to the Buyer.
• Analyze financial data.
• Develop merchandise assortments.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
• Organize and maintain department filing, shipping, order maintenance, and store receipts.
• Analyze and resolve order discrepancy issues.
• Conduct gross margin and vendor profitability analysis.
• Provide merchandise direction, including key item presentations and flow of goods to the store's organization.
