Job summary

Pepkor Speciality is seeking a highly motivated Junior Buyer to join our Ladieswear team. You will support the procurement process, assist in developing seasonal ranges, and work closely with the Senior Buyer to ensure on-trend, commercially viable products.

Responsibilities include placing orders, tracking deliveries, coordinating with QA for fit sessions, analysing weekly sales, and building strong supplier relationships with local and international partners.

Qualifications

• A relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Buying, Retail Management, or a related commercial discipline.
• 1-2 years' experience in a retail buying or procurement role, preferably within ladieswear.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with retail ERP systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a retail buying or procurement role, preferably within ladieswear.
• Sound understanding of retail math, margins, and the apparel procurement lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel; experience with retail ERP systems is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage sample rooms and administrative workflows effectively.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
