Qualifications

• Graduation from high school is required.

• One year of building code enforcement experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction, alteration, and maintenance of buildings for compliance with codes and ordinances.
• Ensure work follows approved plans and specifications and verify materials and methods.
• Issue stop work orders when necessary and assist in enforcement actions.
• Maintain inspection records, issue permits, and provide information on building laws.
