Job summary

BankUnited's Morristown, NJ branch seeks an Assistant Branch Leader to drive day-to-day operations and model the bank's sales, service and production expectations. You will coach staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance while delivering exceptional client experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of progressive branch banking experience and at least a HS diploma, with Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years progressive banking (branch) experience with leadership capabilities required.
• Strong branch operations and sales experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Market Leader in meeting sales and revenue goals through personal and staff production.
• Lead and coach branch personnel to meet sales goals.
• Direct and coordinate day-to-day branch activities including budget, personnel, goal achievement, compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure branch operations are accurate and timely; maintain operational integrity.
• Manage service levels to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain compliance and risk controls per policies and regulations.
• Approve funds transfers and other transactions within preset authority.
• Identify obstacles and empower team to improve sales and service.
• Stay informed on financial products, policies, procedures and regulations.
• Adhere to training and audit requirements; conduct security and account quality reviews.
• Collaborate to generate new business within the community.
• Report suspicious activity and comply with AML requirements.
