Job summary

• Support Boutique Director with time management, event planning, and partnerships with corporate partners.
• Uphold brand image, hygiene standards, and visual merchandising requirements.

Summary

The Assistant Boutique Director supports the Boutique Director in leading the Fragrance & Beauty boutique in Westport by driving exceptional client experience, operational excellence, and team development. The role balances time on the sales floor with back-of-house responsibilities and assumes oversight of the boutique in the Director's absence. The position contributes to inventory control, standards enforcement, and event coordination to deliver elevated client service and business results.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the sales team on the floor to deliver superior client service and elevate product and artistry skills.
• Manage daily boutique operations including stock/re-stocking, receiving, shipping, and damages.
• Serve as operations lead for MMS and inventory reporting; maintain organized stock storage and SOP compliance.
• Support Boutique Director with time management, delegation, event planning, and partnership with corporate partners.
• Uphold brand image, hygiene standards, and visual merchandising requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of related leadership sales or operational experience in a luxury retail environment preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, organizational, and operational skills.
• Detail oriented with experience in inventory management and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and some holidays; requires in-store presence.
