Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a dedicated role based at Severna Park High School, with frequent assignments at other Anne Arundel County locations. You will implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and support students with developmental disabilities under supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.

The 12-month, in-person position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing professional development. Compensation includes benefits and a structured pay range.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1 year of related experience OR
  • Associate degree with 2 years of related experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to students with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in conducting FBAs and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
  • Provide training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management.

Job description

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm | Job Location Type: In Person

This 12-month position is based out of Severna Park High School, but will frequently be needed at Sheppard Pratt's other Anne Arundel County locations (Sever Run Middle School and Millersville Elementary School).

What to expect.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide support to students with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Collecting and accurately recording data on client behavior during intervention sessions.
  • Assisting in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
  • Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

The pay range for this position is $19.36/hr minimum - $28.70/hr maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.
  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience.
    • Associate degree and 2 years of related experience.
    • High school degree or GED and 4 years of related experience.
  • Must meet Sheppard Pratt's requirements to operate a company vehicle:
    • Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
    • Having a valid driver's license.
    • Driving record with 2 points or less for the 3 most recent years of driving history.
