Job summary

Sheppard Pratt School in Hunt Valley seeks a dedicated professional to support students with developmental disabilities by implementing behavior intervention plans and collecting data under supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.

You will help develop BIPs, record behavior data, and assist in FBAs while training caregivers and staff on effective behavior management. Team collaboration and ongoing professional development are key in this role.

Qualifications

  • Requires a relevant education and experience as outlined: Bachelor's degree with 1+ year, Associate degree with 2+ years, or HS diploma with 4+ years.
  • Must meet vehicle operation requirements: 18+, valid license, clean driving record (2 points max in last 3 years).
  • Position involves implementing behavior plans and data collection under supervision.

Sheppard Pratt School in Hunt Valley is a nonpublic special education day school providing educational, therapeutic, and daily living services to students ages 5 to 21. What to expect.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide support to students with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Collecting and accurately recording data on client behavior during intervention sessions.
  • Assisting in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
  • Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
What we need from you.
  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience.
    • Associate degree and 2 years of related experience.
    • High school degree or GED and 4 years of related experience.
  • Must meet Sheppard Pratt's requirements to operate a company vehicle:
    • Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
    • Have a valid driver's license.
    • Driving record with 2 points or less for the most 3 recent years of driving history.
