Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Beef Shoppe Manager to oversee the beef shoppe/seafood department, ensuring guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations meet standards and drive sales. You will supervise in the absence of the Department Manager.

You will train staff, manage inventory, coordinate ordering, and uphold safety, sanitation, and labor budgets while maintaining high quality products and guest satisfaction.

• Lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for sale (cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, pricing).
• Maintain inventory and ensure in-stock conditions through proper ordering.
• Operate department according to merchandising and programs.
• Maintain quality and freshness; ensure products are in date.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards in meat/seafood areas and prep spaces.
• Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure satisfactory performance.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.
• Manage labor budget and optimal scheduling for department sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ensures all guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the Beef Shoppe staff. Creates a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
• Achieves budgeted sales, supply/wrap, shrink, and gross profits for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments.
• Prepare products for sale (meat cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing) according to Lowes Foods Standards.
• Maintains the desired level of inventory and supplies for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
• Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the Beef Shoppe and seafood department staff to ensure Beef Shoppe hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
• Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintains the department's labor budget and ensures that optimal hours are scheduled for the department to maximize sales and guest service.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
