Job summary

Washington Athletics is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to join the University of Washington Baseball program. Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, you will help operate the program and support student-athletes.

You will assist in recruitment, coaching mechanics, practice planning, and strength and conditioning, plus contribute to academic success and public relations. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and coaching or playing experience at college or pro level, with a strong work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of college or pro-level playing/coaching experience.
Additional qualifications may substitute education.
Proven ability to relate to student-athletes.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes; assist with admin duties and public relations.
Coach athletes in mechanics; plan practices and strength/conditioning; develop the mental approach to the game.
Contribute to organizing and implementing a championship Division 1 program; build relationships with coaches, staff and athletes.
