Job summary

The University of Washington Athletics department seeks a Head Coach for Women’s Rowing to lead coaching, recruitment and program operations, reporting to athletic leadership. The role emphasizes teaching, developing student‑athletes and advancing competitive success in line with NCAA and UW standards.

You will oversee talent identification, roster management, performance analytics and travel logistics while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year collegiate/elite coaching, or 2 years junior rowers coaching, or 2 years Senior National Team competition.
  • Proven ability to relate to student-athletes.
  • Three years coaching and recruiting at NCAA Division I or equivalent level.
  • Ability to build high‑performance team culture with accountability, leadership, academics and competition.
  • Experience identifying, recruiting and developing NCAA Championship, National Team and international-caliber student-athletes.
  • Knowledge of NIL-related opportunities and athlete retention strategies.
