Job summary

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is hiring an Assistant Attorney General for the Workers' Compensation section in Columbus, OH. The role supports representation of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission, managing high-volume caseloads, and performing complex appellate work.

The position requires Ohio bar admission and at least two years of attorney experience, with a hybrid in-person/remote work arrangement and training as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio as required by the position.
• Two+ years of experience as an attorney.
• Experience with appellate and trial litigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Case management and settlement evaluations/negotiations.
• Motion practice, discovery (written and depositions).
• Trial and appellate court appearances, administrative hearings.
