Job summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn seeks a highly motivated and driven Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance & Adventure Programming to support enrollment and retention of varsity athletes and club participants.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the role ensures NAIA/ACHA/WHAC compliance, oversees program operations, budgets, and staff, and collaborates on academic progress and student services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee athletics compliance with NAIA, ACHA, and conference rules.
• Manage data collection and reporting for department statistics.
• Monitor academic progress and certify eligibility under WHAC/NAIA rules.
• Supervise staff, coaches and intercollegiate programs.
• Oversee Adventure Program, marketing, bookings and staff training.
• Coordinate with Student-Athlete Services on academic progress.
• Support club sports: eligibility, travel, budgeting, scheduling and meetings.
• Administer notifications, releases, and transfer meetings.
• Provide rules interpretation and education to coaches and staff.
• Ensure compliance with Title IX, NAIA, ACHA, WHAC regulations.
