The Finance and Economics Department of the Rutgers Business School at Newark and New Brunswick, Rutgers University, is seeking a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (without tenure), subject to funding availability. Candidate must already have a Ph.D. in finance or economics, should have a track record of publications in top‑tier finance and economics journals, and have demonstrated effective teaching at the university level.

The successful candidate will have scholarly activities in either empirical asset pricing or corporate finance with strong econometric skills. Overview

The Finance & Economics Department at Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick has more than 40 faculty member and offers academic programs in finance at the undergraduate, MBA, master's, and doctoral levels. These include undergraduate Finance majors, the MBA in Finance, the Master of Financial Analysis, the Master of Quantitative Finance, and the Ph.D. in Finance concentration within the Ph.D. in Management program. The Department is also associated with the Whitcomb Center for Research in Financial Services and the Center for Real Estate.

Rutgers Business School also offers additional programs, including the M.S. in Business of Fashion, through other departments and academic units.

Faculty teaching responsibilities may extend across the Newark and New Brunswick campuses, depending on departmental needs and the requirements of the position.
