JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Strategic Interdisciplinary Research Office (SIRO) at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill multiple positions as Assistant/Associate Pre-Award Research Administrators. These roles will be filled at the Proposal and Award Generalist – Advanced or Senior Professional levels, depending on qualifications.
The selected professionals will prepare and submit a variety of proposals in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will maintain positive relationships internally and externally with teams, research units, sponsors, faculty, and staff.
Work Arrangement: This is a remote-eligible position based in the U.S., with standard hours in the eastern time zone.

Minimum Education and Experience: The Advanced Professional level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; the Senior Professional level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience. Pre-Award research administration experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with electronic proposal submission sites, experience with training grants or clinical trial proposals, current AOR, SIMS, ACES certification, CRA certification or pursuit thereof.
Required Competencies: Flexibility, self-management, high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
