The University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, Division of Pediatric Dentistry, invites applications for a full-time dental anesthesiology position available at the Assistant/ Associate or Full Professor level of Clinical Dental Anesthesiology, Academic Clinician Track. Responsibilities include: clinical and didactic instruction of specialty post graduate students, including but not limited to Periodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, and dental students in techniques of anesthesiology and sedation; anesthetic management of patients with special health care needs, and clinical management of other patients who require sedative and/or anesthetic interventions.

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The posting is open until filled. Start date is negotiable.


Qualifications
Preferred qualifications for this position include: (1) DMD/DDS or MD/Osteo MD degree; (2) certificate of advanced training in an Advanced General Dentistry Education Program in Dental Anesthesiology (3) board eligibility or Board Certification from the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology; (4) eligibility to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; (5) experience in the anesthetic management of patients with special health care needs. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold active PA licensure.
