About the Job

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Cardiology Physician at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.

Position Details:

• Focus on Pediatric Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Devices, and Pediatric Heart Transplant, joining our Medical Director of Heart Failure/Transplant/VAD.
• Participate in pre- and post-transplant cardiac evaluation and treatment of cardiomyopathies and heart failure from various etiologies.
• This role may include general pediatric cardiology care at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and outreach clinics in the metro area.
• Potential involvement in echocardiographic interpretation, inpatient and outpatient services depending on expertise.
• Responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in departmental service activities.
• Use academic time for scholarly work in your specialty or research, aiming for collaboration or independent, externally funded research.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship programs.
• Board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
• Meet credentialing and privileges criteria.
• Legal ability to work in the United States.
