RYZE on the Avenue is seeking an Assistant Activity Director to plan and execute engaging programs that enhance residents’ quality of life. This role helps create a positive, energetic environment where residents thrive socially, mentally, and physically.

Responsibilities include leading activities, coordinating with nursing and therapy teams, and maintaining documentation while supporting aides and volunteers. A compassionate, resident-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Activity Director is required.
• High school diploma required; recreation therapy or related field degree preferred.
• Previous experience in activities or healthcare/SNF setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead engaging group activities with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading individual and group activities.
• Support the development and execution of monthly and weekly activity calendars.
• Lead activities and programs as assigned, encouraging resident participation.
• Provide support and direction to activity aides and volunteers.
• Maintain accurate documentation, attendance records, and resident assessments.
• Assist with coordinating special events, community outings, and holiday programs.
• Partner with nursing and therapy teams to support a well-rounded resident experience.
• Ensure activity spaces and supplies are organized and ready for use.
