• Works with the accounting staff to meet reporting and financial deadlines, budget preparation, monthly account analyses, taxes, etc.
• Works with factory controller and understands the results against budget.
• Conducts performance evaluations.
• Coordinates and identifies training needs for current staff.
  
  

Job Description

• Plans, performs, and directs the department's accounting activities.
• Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports audits.
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Prepares business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Reviews contracts for financial risks and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Creates workflow charts and documents processes.
• Performs account analysis and monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with ERP accounting software (JDE, SAP, AS 400 preferred).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
