Inviting applications for the role of RTR Assets Accounting – Assistant Manager – German – Remote EMEA/EU!
In this role, you will manage and oversee the accounting processes related to fixed assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities· Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring all additions, disposals, and transfers are accurately recorded.
· Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts to the general ledger.
· Prepare and review depreciation schedules and ensure timely posting of depreciation entries.
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements by providing detailed fixed asset reports.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper capitalization of assets and adherence to capitalization policies.
· Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies.
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to fixed assets.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in fixed asset accounting.
Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills· Fluency in German and a strong command of English
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
· Relevant years of experience in RTR
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
· Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications / Skills· Proven experience in fixed asset accounting or GL accounting
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
· Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP related to fixed assets
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
· Experience working in the retail industry / with retail clients
· Knowledge of additional languages
