Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor, to provide financial guidance at military installations in North Dakota. The role covers short-term, surge and on-demand engagements for service members and families, including budgeting, debt management and referrals.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or combination of education and experience), 3+ years of financial counseling, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Certifications AFC, CFP or ChFC required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates and provides financial classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling and secure video/online communications as needed.
• Manages protections and compliance with DoD protocols and supervision.
