Job summary

Target is seeking an Assets Protection Team Leader in Traverse City, MI. The role focuses on leading a security-focused team, responding to theft incidents, and protecting merchandise while supporting store leadership.

Candidates should have 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to work a variable schedule including nights and weekends. Retail or loss prevention experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong leadership and accountability for team performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Assets Protection members and coaching.
• Develop and implement security and safety plans for incidents.
• Respond to theft and loss events; coordinate with leadership.
• Educate store leadership on merchandise protection best practices.
• Maintain relationships with store leaders and law enforcement as needed.
• Prepare staff schedules based on security and theft trends.
