Job summary

Dominion Financial Services seeks experienced Asset Managers to own a portfolio of loans not maintaining full compliance with loan agreements. You will identify deviations, design practical asset-management solutions, and partner with borrowers to achieve extensions, draw management, and other workout outcomes.

You will apply underwriting judgment, financial analysis, and risk assessment while leveraging AI tools to accelerate document review and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in property or asset management, loss mitigation, or related fields.
• Understanding of business purpose loans, including extensions and workouts.
• Experience evaluating construction/renovation budgets, draws, and scopes of work across project types.
• Ability to assess borrower business plans, exit strategies, and liquidity for restructuring.
• Excel proficiency; strong Word skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead conversations professionally.
• Strong judgment and risk thinking with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with AI tools for research and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and actively manage a portfolio of loans out of compliance from identification through cure or transfer.
• Monitor portfolio performance and borrower behavior to spot deviations early.
• Evaluate borrower plans and changes by reviewing budgets, scopes of work, permits, draws and reports.
• Review and structure maturity extension requests and recommend protective terms.
• Manage draw exceptions and deviations, update budgets, and re-underwrite after scope changes.
• Analyze borrower financials and project performance to assess risk and decide actions.
• Identify discrepancies and red flags in documentation and escalate fraud concerns.
• Execute asset management solutions (extensions, collateral, guarantors) and refer loans to foreclosure if needed.
• Lead difficult conversations with borrowers and guarantors about remediation and consequences.
