Job summary

Enviros is seeking an Asset Tagging Technician to identify, verify, document, and label building and facility assets during construction, commissioning, and turnover phases. You will ensure equipment data is accurately captured and entered into CMMS and project databases.

The role requires field surveys of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, applying owner tags, barcodes, or QR codes, and performing quality checks with project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read construction drawings, equipment schedules, and floor plans.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and mobile data collection applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to walk large facilities and construction sites for extended periods.
• Proficiency with mobile devices, tablets, and digital documentation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty systems.
• Verify equipment against construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and owner asset lists.
• Identify assets requiring owner asset tags, QR codes, barcodes, or CMMS integration.
• Confirm equipment locations, naming conventions, and system associations.
• Install company or owner-provided asset tags, barcode labels, and QR code labels on applicable equipment.
• Ensure tags are securely mounted and visible in accordance with project standards.
• Verify tag numbers match project databases and turnover documentation.
• Document installed tags through photographs and electronic records.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and field reports.
• Perform audits of completed asset tagging installations.
• Identify discrepancies between field conditions and project documentation.
• Coordinate corrections with contractors, commissioning staff, and project management teams.
• Ensure compliance with owner requirements and project turnover standards.
• Assist commissioning agents during system verification and turnover activities.
• Participate in project meetings as required.
• Provide progress updates and status reports to project leadership.
