Job summary

Flagler County Florida is seeking a part-time Property Control Clerk to manage surplus processes and asset handling. You will implement the Surplus Policy, classify items, and handle disposal using appropriate methods while supporting purchasing tasks.

The role requires coordinating paperwork, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate inventories. A valid Florida driver’s license is required, and the county offers competitive benefits and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or accredited equivalency diploma.
• Three (3) years of experience in property control methods including receiving, storing and issuing supplies, maintaining inventory and stock control records.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the entire process of identifying likely surplus to disposing surplus using the most appropriate methods.
• Facilitates the process of disposing and transferring surplus property, including ensuring proper paperwork and necessary documentation is prepared, processed, and transferred.
• Coordinates all facets of surplus sales including auction process.
• Conducts physical inventory of capital and/or non-capital and fixed assets inventory and coordinates with Departments to ensure property is accounted for.
• Assists with the purchase of various commodities and services.
• Conducts research for product specifications, vendor information and statutory requirements.
