Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine seeks an Accounting Specialist for a 2-year term. This role maintains the Fixed Asset Inventory, coordinates space functionalization, and supports financial analysis, compliance, and reimbursement rate submissions.

Under the Assistant Director, you will work with SAP, prepare data for filings, monitor fringe costs, and create ad hoc analyses. Term through Fall 2028 with possible extension based on needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
• Experience in higher education, healthcare, research or non‑profit environment preferred.
• Experience supporting federal cost reimbursement and fringe benefit rate proposals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Fixed Asset Inventory in compliance with regulations and policies; coordinate with third-party consultants and oversee asset database maintenance.
• Coordinate space functionalization with faculty and administrators to classify and maintain space data.
• Utilize SAP to compile and analyze space data for reimbursement rate calculations.
• Assist in preparation and compilation of data for reimbursement rate submissions.
• Support Senior Analyst in monitoring fringe benefit costs and related collections.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports and reconciliations as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
