Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Maintenance Specialist in Jerome, Idaho to support maintenance and reliability improvements across on-site operations. The role emphasizes defect elimination, root-cause analysis, and project management to enhance asset performance and safety.

The position requires five years in engineering maintenance, a maintenance/E&M related diploma or higher, and a willingness to work Monday–Friday with strong technical collaboration within the plant team. Exp pref CMRP or CRL.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in engineering maintenance roles.
• Experience with Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause Analysis methodology.
• Experience with failure analysis.
• Experience working in a fixed plant environment.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or equivalent certification by a professional organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and troubleshooting support of maintenance execution and operations teams.
• Identification, ownership and implementation of initiatives to deliver improvements in safety, asset performance, and cost.
• Capital project validation and delivery support.
• Reconciliation of production loss accounting data.
• Optimize the Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR).
• Responsible for technical accuracy of the job steps.
• Develop equipment modification plans based on failure data, crafts feedback and OEM design modifications.
• Make specific equipment recommendations to improve machinery performance and maintainability.
• Create plans to standardize parts across like machines taking into account specific component performance and maintainability.
• Verify that the BOM reflects the changes.
• Work with stores to delete unnecessary spares.
• Responsible to maintain current and correct OEM specifications, manuals and procedures for plant assets in support of planning functions and in support of daily maintenance function.
• Resource for the Reliability Specialist with specific machine performance information and detailed component and parts data.
• Develop new and innovative methods for timely repair of assets.
• Prepare specific job plans steps with detailed procedures for completion of repair in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Contribute to repair details, craft expertise, and parts issues.
• Catalog and database the RCA/RCFA results and subsequent action items.
• Develop specific maintenance procedure modifications to help mitigate future machinery failures.
• Develop specific machinery modifications to help mitigate future failures.
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance supervisors, planners and crafts personnel in the form of specific, technical data on machinery configuration and performance.
• Responsible to maintain a current and correct technical specifications library.
• Utilize metrics for system, asset and component maintainability.
• Develop specific maintenance activities to ensure spare fitness for duty.
• Develop specific equipment preservation techniques for pre-commissioning storage of equipment.
• Create new equipment purchase specifications around improved maintainability.
• Analyze process and/or failure information to determine the need for improved craft skills.
• Conduct/arrange craft skills training.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Diploma in maintenance, electromechanics, mechanical engineering or other relevant training

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
