First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Special Assets Officer I in Mattoon, IL. You will manage a portfolio of classified assets, work with internal teams and bank attorneys to maximize recoveries while adhering to policies and regulations.

The role involves evaluating loans, coordinating workout plans, and maintaining accurate records, with additional compensation opportunities through discretionary incentives and comprehensive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with two to four years related experience.
• Ability to manage portfolios of assets and maximize recoveries.
• Familiarity with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Identify and minimize losses and maximize recoveries on assigned loan portfolios through collection activities and workout plans.
• Develop/negotiate/execution of workout action plans including loan restructures and negotiations with borrowers.
• Monitor bankruptcy accounts and coordinate with bank attorneys when necessary.
• Prepare documents for repossessions and legal actions, and engage bank attorney to foreclose or repossess collateral.
• Maintain client contact records and assist with audits and required training.
