Job summary

Independent Bank is seeking a Special Asset Clerk to monitor and update accounts in the repossession process, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. You will manage a queue of about 100 accounts, process repossession tasks, and handle notices and vendor communications.

Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on projects, with proficiency in Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Process Titles and Repo Sold checks accurately and on time.
• Assist administratively with department tasks.
• Prepare repossession packets and mail Intent to Sale letters.
• Maintain log of towing notices.
• Coordinate with 3rd-party vendors on holds.
• Review sales expenses for timely submission.
• Process vendor invoices.
• Complete required paperwork and regulatory letters.
• Update Recovery Management System for asset remarketing.
• Assist with light skip tracing as needed.
• Review vendor emails and account updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
