Job summary

Michaels Stores in Irving, Texas seeks an Asset Protection Specialist to develop and manage loss prevention programs across stores and distribution centers. You will own alarm, CCTV, EAS, and merchandise protection while working with field staff, district managers, and vendors to meet shrink and security goals.

You will manage CCTV projects, EAS installations, and fire alarm initiatives, coordinating with Facilities and Merchants to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection or related field.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
• Familiarity with intrusion detection, access control, EAS and CCTV.

Responsibilities

• Manage Asset Protection alarm vendor partnerships and ensure compliance.
• Lead CCTV, EAS and Fire Alarm projects with facilities and vendors.
• Oversee security guard vendors and emergency response for stores.
• Identify shrink trends and provide analytical insights.
• Support investigations and legal with video/access needs.
• Maintain and communicate Asset Protection email and follow-ups.
• Ensure legal compliance of alarm permits for all stores.
