Job summary

Target is seeking an Assets Protection Team Leader to safeguard guests, team members and merchandise while delivering a high-quality shopping experience. You will lead a team, manage investigations, and partner with store leaders to reduce loss and maintain store safety.

The role requires strong leadership, crisis-management capability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience in retail or loss prevention preferred but not required.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners and other tech as directed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments while maintaining security and operations.
• Observe, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance and safety.
• Review metrics to identify opportunities and drive corrective actions.
• Support store sales and profitability by ensuring product availability and gaps are addressed.
• Lead security planning for in-store events and crisis situations.
• Develop and coach team members to elevate skills and knowledge.
• Plan staffing around security needs and performance expectations.
• Identify theft and shortage trends and develop countermeasures with leadership.
