Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a security professional to patrol facilities, control access, and respond to incidents. You will monitor cameras, manage sign-ins, and operate the Evolv detection system to protect staff and property.

The role requires strong reporting, attention to detail, and the ability to work various shifts with overtime as needed. Qualified candidates will have experience with WMS, inventory awareness, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient in WMS and understand all aspects of inventory movement in a DC.
• Proficient in Writing, Microsoft Excel, MS-Outlook, MSWord.
• Strong partnership, team oriented with interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Perform assigned role with an expected level of credibility & integrity.
• Have a passion for auditing, checking with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling: conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols to check doors, windows, and gates for security breaches.
• Access Control: monitor site entrances, verify visitor credentials, and manage sign-ins.
• Weapons Detection: operate Evolv weapons detection system and respond to detected threats.
• Surveillance/Investigate: monitor CCTV, investigate incidents, report and escalate as needed.
• Incident Response: act as first responder to emergencies, contact authorities, manage the situation.
• Reporting: prepare daily reports detailing observations and incidents.
• Enforcement: enforce policies and remove trespassers when required; complete all reports.
• Inspections: perform life & safety inspections daily/hourly.
• Asset Inspection: inspect outbound assets for theft risk and respond accordingly.
