Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Security Associate (Asset Protection) for the 2nd shift, Tuesday–Saturday, to safeguard people, facilities and assets across the DC and store network.

The role requires 1+ years in asset protection or a guard shack, strong communication, and ability to work at multiple posts in a warehouse. C-TPAT certification within 30 days is required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in asset protection or guard shack.
• Proficient with Google platform (Slides, Docs, Drive, Sheets, Sites).
• Ability to read and review instructions, manuals and daily AP reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Receive C-TPAT certification within 30 days of hire.
• Work in a warehouse environment with temperature extremes and noise.
• Able to work at multiple posts including truck lot, central station, and entrances.

Responsibilities

• Validate trucks at freight yard entrance per C-TPAT procedures.
• Verify outbound store shipments by comparing documentation and seals.
• Monitor CCTV and report incidents promptly.
• Act as central contact for asset protection, safety, and security.
• Enter tractors and trailers into internal systems for tracking.
• Respond to accidents and emergencies ensuring safety of personnel.
• Document safety and security incidents per policy.
• Ensure compliance with OSJL policies and applicable laws and regs.
