Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in McLean, VA is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe environment for people, customers and assets. You’ll support safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence.

You will work with the Asset Protection Manager, store leadership, and local law enforcement to drive security metrics, monitor CCTV, and train teams on prevention while using RFID and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm, professional approach to handling safety situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills.
• Comfortable using surveillance, reporting, and monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data and responding to alarms.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and reporting tools.
• Complete accurate incident and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams and coordinate with local law enforcement.
