Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and assets.

You will support safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence. You will work closely with the Asset Protection Manager and store leadership, collaborating with Store Operations and Asset Protection across functions to ensure effective safety practices and incident

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• A valid security license is required for certain locations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm and professional approach to handling safety situations.
• Strong accountability and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills (preferred).
• Comfortable using surveillance, reporting, and monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data and responding to alarms in the Employee Service Area.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and other reporting tools.
• Complete accurate incident, investigation, and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention and partner with management on action plans.
