Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize various tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems, and fostering a shrink elimination culture within the store. Additional responsibilities include preparing detailed case reports for apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform their duties in a manner that minimizes injury risks to themselves, colleagues, vendors, customers, and the Company. They are expected to demonstrate integrity at all times, address asset protection and operational concerns of associates, and focus on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
