Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Supply Chain Asset Protection Agent to support loss prevention, safety, and security initiatives across the building, assets, and employees. The role focuses on protecting people and property while partnering with investigators and asset protection leadership to reduce shrink and resolve incidents.

The position requires a valid security license in multiple locales and a background in customer-facing roles, with strong communication and ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in customer facing service position, ideally in loss prevention, security or risk management.
• Ability to effectively communicate with associates at various levels within the company.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm head when dealing with safety and security issues; able to effectively respond and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with building personnel of all levels, in a professional demeanor and respond to incidents related to loss prevention, safety and security.
• Monitor badges for entry/exit to the building.
• Scan associates, visitors, and vendors for security screening.
• Perform searches of bags and carry-in items to prevent prohibited items.
• Escalate highly sensitive situations with LP staff or law enforcement when needed.
• Investigate shrinkage/loss and coordinate with Asset Protection Manager.
• Maintain site documentation on loss prevention and safety issues.
• Audit intrusion detection, access control, and cameras for proper function.
