Job summary

Nordstrom in North Carolina is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to safeguard customers, employees and merchandise, partnering with the store Emergency Response Team to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.

You will help protect company profits by mitigating shrinkage, preventing, investigating, and resolving theft, ensuring merchandise is available for our customers.

Qualifications

• Valid security license may be required in select locations.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and discretion.
• Experience with investigations and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft by using good judgment and conduct quality apprehensions in high shrinkage areas.
• Identify theft trends through reporting and surveillance activities.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and standards.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and collaboration with AP leadership and investigations.
• Use video systems to monitor theft activity and support investigations.
• Prepare prompt reports for incidents and investigations.
