Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Lead in Harvey, LA. You will mitigate theft and fraud in high shortage areas while delivering customer-friendly service and upholding our values.

You will train Shortage Control Associates, report theft incidents, and support leadership with safety, audits, and shortage reduction initiatives. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail loss prevention or store operations.
• Ability to engage with customers and associates professionally.
• Ability to train and develop associates in shortage reduction practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors through a confident presence and customer-facing interaction.
• Maintain a safe and secure store with attention to detail and teamwork with leadership.
• Engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas to promote store security and service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of shortage reduction programs and participate in training.
• Document indicators of external theft and support reporting to leadership; coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
• Assist in internal controls, point-of-sale monitoring, audits, and Asset Protection programs.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing training in shortage reduction for associates.
• Support inventory processes and develop action plans to reduce shortage.
• Model safety-first behavior and manage stressful situations effectively.
