Macy's is seeking an Asset Protection Detective to join our security team. You will use surveillance techniques to identify shoplifting and dishonest behavior, de-escalate situations, recover stolen merchandise, and support investigations with clear reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in retail security preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Licensing may be required depending on location.

Responsabilités

• Use surveillance techniques to identify and apprehend theft and dishonest employees.
• Apply de-escalation tools to maintain a safe, respectful environment.
• Recover stolen merchandise and document findings.
• Prepare statements and evidence for investigations.
• Generate reports on theft, investigations, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with law and company policies.
• Build partnerships with store teams and law enforcement.
• Testify in court for criminal and civil cases when required.
• Train colleagues on security protocols and procedures.
• Respond to alarms and handle special assignments.
• Provide first aid when needed and foster inclusive, respectful culture.
