Job summary

PowerFlex, an EDF Renewables company, seeks an Asset Operations and Maintenance Analyst in NYC to support the Asset Optimization and Customer Success team. The role coordinates scheduling and dispatch of O&M providers and analyzes performance data for behind-the-meter solar and battery storage projects.

The analyst will maintain records, support warranty administration, and develop reports on maintenance activity, asset performance, and provider performance to drive reliability and long-term

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment replacements with subcontractors and site hosts.
  • Use the CMMS to create, assign, track, and close work orders.
  • Maintain short- and long-term maintenance schedules and ensure activities are completed and closed on time.
  • Confirm scope of work, site access information, safety requirements, materials, and tools before work begins.
  • Communicate scheduling details and O&M updates to site hosts, off-takers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor solar and battery storage installations and coordinate follow-up service when issues arise.
  • Determine pricing for O&M services based on subcontractor quotes and internal pricing mechanisms.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate equipment failure rates, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on maintenance metrics.
  • Identify recurring issues, support root-cause analysis, elevate findings to stakeholders.
  • Forecast maintenance needs and related costs.
  • Support execution and management of service provider agreements and subcontractor agreements.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met by PowerFlex and its subcontractors.
  • Review, track, and process subcontractor invoices and monitor performance.
  • Identify initiatives to improve scheduling, dispatch, record keeping, and reporting processes.
  • Assist with implementing new tools and systems to enhance operational visibility.
  • Administer and manage warranty claims and coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve them.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

As the Asset Operations and Maintenance Analyst, you will be a key member of the Asset Optimization and Customer Success team, responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatch of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) providers while analyzing maintenance, operational, and asset-performance data forPowerFlex’sbehind-the-meter solar and battery energy storage projects.

This role will manage and track maintenance work from initiation through closeout,maintainaccurateservice and asset records, support subcontractor and warranty administration, and develop reporting on maintenance activity, asset performance, equipment failures, service costs, and provider performance. The Analyst will use these insights toidentifyrecurring issues and opportunities to improve system availability, reliability, maintenance planning, and long-term asset value.
This position works cross-functionally with software, business development, engineering, execution, finance, customers, and O&M service providers.

This role would be required to be a hybrid role out of our NYC office.

Responsibilities
40% - Resource Deployment, Scheduling, Dispatch
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, site hosts, and internal stakeholders to schedule preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment replacements.
  • Use the CMMS or maintenance-management system to create, assign, track, and close work orders.
  • Maintain short- and long-term maintenance schedules and ensure planned activities are completed, documented, and closed out on time.
  • Confirm that subcontractors have theappropriate scopeof work, site access information, safety requirements, materials, and tools before work begins.
  • Communicate scheduling details, O&M updates, and post-visit summaries to site hosts,offtakers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support daily monitoring of solar and battery storage installations and coordinate follow-up service activity when performance issues or maintenance needs areidentified.
20% - Asset Performance, Maintenance, and Reliability Analysis
  • Determinepricing for O&M services based on subcontractor quotes and internal pricing mechanisms
  • Analyze maintenance work orders, service records, inspection findings, monitoring data, and equipment history toidentifyrecurring issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate equipment failure rates, repeat service events, downtime, repair costs, maintenance frequency, andcompletiontrends across solar and battery energy storage assets.
  • Develop andmaintainreporting on key operational and maintenance metrics, includingpreventive-maintenancecompletion,corrective-maintenancevolume, work-order backlog, repeat failures, service costs, and response times.
  • Identifyrecurring equipment, workmanship, or operational issues, supportroot-cause analysis,and elevate findings to theappropriate internalstakeholders.
  • Assistwith forecasting maintenance needs,anticipatedequipment replacements, recurring service requirements, and related costs.
20% - Contract Management & Invoicing
  • Supportexecution andmanagement of service provider agreements andsubcontractoragreements
  • Ensureall contractual obligations are met byPowerFlexand its subcontractors.
  • Review, track, and process subcontractor invoices, verifying alignment with approved scopes of work and contract terms prior to approval.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, costs, and compliance with service-level expectations.
10% - Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
  • Identifyand drive initiatives to improve, standardize, and automate O&M scheduling, dispatch, record keeping, and reporting processes.
  • Support the implementation of new tools, workflows, and systems that enhance operational visibility and efficiency across the O&M function.
5% - Warranty Administration
  • Administer and manage workmanship warranty claimsin accordance withcontract obligations.
  • Maintain complete records of all warranty claims, including correspondence, claim forms, status updates, and resolution outcomes.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors tofacilitatetimelyand effective warranty claim resolution.
5% - Other Duties
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
