Job summary

Truist Financial Corp in Atlanta is seeking a loan administrator to supervise and perform analyses of commercial mortgage loans, focusing on collateral and borrower requests. The role involves reviewing operating statements, site inspections, and applying lender policies to approve funds releases and modifications.

You will interface with borrowers, property managers, and internal teams to ensure accurate loan accounting, reporting, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of experience with commercial real estate, with at least three of those years being with finance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work.
• Strong working knowledge of loan accounting concepts, including interest accrual methodologies and amortization.
• Ability to read and comprehend most provisions of common commercial real estate loan documents.
• Ability to efficiently compose accurate and effective reports and written recommendations to lenders.
• Intermediate-level skills with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Basic-level skills with Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently produce analyses of operating statements for commercial income-producing properties.
• Perform property inspections to verify collateral maintenance and report life-safety issues.
• Analyze and underwrite borrower requests including loan modifications and collateral releases.
• Process releases of funds from reserve accounts per policy limits.
• Assist in processing insurance loss claims and disposition recommendations.
• Interface with managers, borrowers, and other paying agents for delinquencies and notices of default.
• Maintain the loan servicing system database and related records.
• Identify and report borrower breaches of loan covenants.
• Analyze asset performance and contribute to risk grading and watch list maintenance.
• Supervise and train Asset Analysts and participate in process improvements.
