Project Manager I- serves as project lead in support of the various functions and projects in Asset Management Office. Work includes but is not limited to providing support, coordinating with other agency program areas such RAS, state hospitals and state living centers for implementation of new enterprise virtual asset tracking (VAT) inventory system. Coordinates, plans and tracks project timelines, deliverables to ensure project completion. Coordinates with HHS agencies, stakeholders, and private external vendor for improvement development of VAT system and acceptance of changes. Monitors and tracks statewide annual inventory project and statewide use of VAT system for asset management related tasks and functions. Communicates, coordinates, and trains asset managementstatewide inventory coordinators and AMO team staff in daily job function use of asset management inventory system for task completion related to project implementation. Serve as subject matter expert for support to internal and external program area customer's inquiry for VAT RFID system. Ensures compliance with the Comptroller of Public Accounts policies and procedures for agency property management inventory processes. Prepare, review and provide special reporting related to program area key measures and inventory results data, used to maintain inventory systems and ensure updates are completed accordingly. Perform property management duties including asset tracking, tagging, inventorying and updating system asset records. Track and provide information related to project purchase orders to ensure project budget is upheld. Educate and provide guidance to asset custodians in their roles and responsibility related to asset care and custodianship. Assist in the program analysis and make recommendations to management and implement approved system development, procedural or policy changes to improve or comply with legislative changes. Keep records current and maintain asset management program files. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Assist in other duties as needed.

The work environment may include being outdoors, in an office setting and/or at a warehouse. Occasional travel is required to conduct inventory, and facility checks at various locations.
