Position Title:
The Montana Department of Transportation is recruiting for an Asset Management Section Supervisor. We are seeking a collaborative, forward‑thinking leader to serve as the Asset Management Section Supervisor. This position leads the statewide Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) program and plays a key role in shaping how MDT collects, integrates, manages, and uses asset data to drive strategic, performance‑based transportation investment decisions. The role is highly visible within the agency, regularly coordinating with internal divisions, districts, leadership, and external partners such as FHWA, AASHTO, and other DOTs.

Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics , or a related field.
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in a data related field, engineering, asset management, information system management, project management, or related field.
This position requires a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.
Combinations of additional related work experience and education may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
