Job summary

City of Austin seeks a Business Process Specialist to own and administer the asset management system and Capital Predictive module. You will ensure data quality, maintain preventive maintenance schedules, and support capital planning with integrated facility condition data.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with managers, trades, and vendors. You will develop standard procedures, provide user training, and act as a SME to improve operational efficiency across AFM divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job plus one year of related experience.
• Experience may be substituted for education up to four years.
• Experience administering and maintaining an asset management system such as Brightly.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and querying databases to support reporting and analysis.
• Experience in facilities management/public works or related organization.
• Experience providing technical support and training to end users on business systems or software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and close projects in various operational/administrative contexts.
• Develop and maintain databases to support data analysis for business projects.
• Prepare recommendations for new or revised policies and processes.
• Write reports summarizing findings and data collection methods.
• Set up project schedules and maintain status reports; communicate progress.
• Conduct research and analyze data trends to evaluate alternatives.
• Facilitate meetings and document actions using flowcharts and related tools.
• Maintain positive relationships with managers, staff and stakeholders.
