Job summary

Salas O'Brien is seeking an Asset Management professional to join the Scorpius Accelerator project at Los Alamos National Laboratory. You will develop and maintain asset management programs, partnering with engineering, operations, maintenance, reliability, and supply chain teams to improve system readiness and reduce risk.

The role emphasizes lifecycle management, documentation accuracy, and collaboration across disciplines within a federal project environment, with hybrid onsite work in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant engineering or industrial experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, processing plants, utilities, industrial facilities, metallurgy, or similar environments.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
• United States citizenship is required for this role.
• All new hires must pass a federal background check and federal drug test.
• An ability to work hybrid onsite in Mercury, NV on the National Nuclear Test Site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain asset management programs for complex engineered systems.
• Support configuration management and technical baseline activities.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, reliability, and supply chain teams.
• Identify lifecycle risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support system turnover and operational readiness.
• Review engineering changes and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Analyze equipment performance trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
