Job summary

Calvert Impact is seeking an Associate, Asset Management in Bethesda, MD to perform day-to-day loan administration for loan and equity portfolios. You will support deal approvals, disbursements, and ongoing monitoring, ensuring accurate documentation and timely payments.

This role requires strong operational and project-management skills and a commitment to exceptional service. You'll work closely with Investments, Legal, and Risk teams to implement new products and maintain efficient processes

Qualifications

• 1-3 years loan administration or asset management experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong operational and project management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Carta or similar loan servicing system, desired.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Undergraduate degree in business administration or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Deal Approvals
• Attend Investment Committee meetings
• Review and provide feedback on Asset Management on proposed credit transactions
• Loan Closings
• Review closing documents for alignment with approved terms
• Coordinate with Borrowers and Internal Teams to ensure documents are received and approved
• Disbursement of Funds
• Review and prepare loan disbursements
• Review and monitor construction loans, if applicable
• Review loan requests and supporting documentation
• Coordinate disbursements with internal teams
• Coordinate disbursements with external lenders
• Monitoring
• Set-up loans in servicing system
• Prepare and ensure payments are made timely
• Prepare monthly invoices to Borrowers
• Prepare payoff statements
• Ensure payments are properly applied
• Track and manage loan maturities
• Perform monthly audit of new loan closings
• Monitor hedges for foreign currency denominated loans
• Monitor Borrower requests and follow up for resolution
• General Responsibilities
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to identify requirements
• Assist in revising and maintaining current procedures
• Provide recommendations for process improvements
• Support system implementations (loan servicing, accounting, portfolio management)
