As an Associate on the Asset Management team, the overall goal of your position is to empower investors, industry partners, and our team through the consistent execution of proactive asset management. Your primary role as an Asset Management Associate will be to drive asset performance across assigned portfolios, manage leasing and disposition projects from inception to finish, and deliver the analysis that informs strategic decision-making across the Firm's assets under management (AUM). The position requires a self-motivated, analytically strong, and accountable commercial real estate professional who can combine hands-on asset management experience with sound financial judgment, and effective deal execution. A successful candidate will be able to take ownership of assigned assets and projects, oversee leasing and disposition initiatives from inception to finish, assist in transaction project management, and translate financial and market data into clear recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities
- Support asset dispositions and leasing initiatives across assigned portfolio from initial negotiations to an open & operating tenant under a new lease or a closed sale.
- Assist in managing the disposition process for distressed assets, including LOI negotiation, PSA review, assembling due diligence files, overseeing critical dates timelines and deliverables, and working with third parties towards a successful closing.
- Assist in managing lease negotiations through lease language review and negotiation of key lease clauses in alignment with portfolio standards.
- Work with lenders and servicers for securitized loans to obtain lender consent for new leases and to comply with loan covenants for new lease approvals.
- Oversee landlord delivery requirements for new leases including the completion of landlord work, facilitating tenant’s work & site inspections, and completing required lease documents. Prepare and monitor deal critical date timelines and ensure that projects remain on track for timely completion. Ensure landlord remains in compliance with all landlord obligations and deliverables.
- Assist in managing lease projects for a cross-departmental team to monitor deliverables, provide guidance, ensure accountability for project timelines, and provide project progress reporting to leadership.
- Partner with analysts to prepare market research and evaluate financial models—including cashflow, NPV, buyout, disposition, and sell vs. hold analyses. Synthesize analysis and research into deal memos and recommendations for leadership to present analysis findings and recommended strategies for assets.
- Partner with Operations and Property Management on asset initiatives including minimizing expenses related to distressed assets and implementing operational initiatives to support asset disposition strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial real estate asset management, acquisitions, development, portfolio management, real estate finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating leases, managing sale tractions (either acquisitions or dispositions), or real estate development.
- Strong knowledge of commercial leasing, including market analysis, lease underwriting, lease clause negotiation, deal structuring, and broker relationship management.
- Demonstrated experience managing the financial and operational performance of commercial real estate assets.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, including experience analyzing property financial statements, deal performance models (NPV, NER, sell vs hold, etc.), budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and dispositions models.
- Strong project management, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with property managers, brokers, tenants, analysts, legal counsel, third party buyers, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects and ensure accountability for project timelines and deliverables.
- Demonstrated commitment to proactive ownership, proactive driving of project timelines, independent problem-solving, accuracy, urgency, disciplined follow-through, risk identification, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field required; equivalent directly applicable experience may be considered.
