Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Asset Maintenance Technician to perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on CNC machines and other advanced manufacturing equipment. This first-shift role emphasizes hands-on work and cross-functional collaboration.

You will mentor peers, support workflow coordination, and help improve uptime and safety under a 50-hour week with overtime. The team values safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with PLCs, motors, sensors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with CNC machines or automation systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines, EDMs, ultrasonic tanks and other manufacturing equipment.
• Use schematics and documentation to diagnose electrical/mechanical issues.
• Coordinate technician workflow and prioritize tasks based on production needs.
• Mentor and support shift-level operations and answer operational questions.
• Track maintenance activity and equipment status using CMMS or similar systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and shift execution.
