Job summary

ThayerMahan, based in Groton, CT, seeks a Logistics and Facilities Specialist to manage assets, inventory, and warehouse ops. You will track, store, and document equipment, coordinate with purchasing and operations, and support shipping as needed.

The role reports to Logistics/Facilities leadership and requires attention to detail and organizational prowess. Non-exempt position based in Groton, 8am–4pm, with potential travel; US citizenship per contract.

Qualifications

• Warehouse or inventory experience.
• Experience in light manufacturing or warehouse equipment.
• Experience in receiving and warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Track, safeguard, and maintain company assets including proper documentation.
• Record purchases, maintain system database, perform physical counts and reconciliation.
• Receive, inspect and verify orders, unpack, and deliver goods; re-stock items as necessary.
• Maintain order of the warehouse and create storage/workflow solutions.
• Receive shipments, verify contents against PO/packing slips, enter data into WMS.
• Label, sort, and store received materials; coordinate with teams on status.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) if certified.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
• Prepare and maintain receiving documentation and records.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support shipping and general warehouse activities as needed.
